Just wondering which do you find better/useful? Apply Poison or Merlandru’s Arrow?

Apply Poison 15 energy
Poison has 4 pip degeneration

Elite Merlandru’s Arrow 5 energy
Bleeding has 3 pip degeneration (plus extra damage to enchanted foes)

Opinions welcome

What are you doing with your Ranger? Personally I use neither of those skills. I take Poison Arrow for poison because it stacks with other preperations and it's cheap and quick. For bleeding I sometimes take Hunter's Shot, but bleeding only takes efffect if the foe is moving.

Heh, simple question, extremely difficult to answer >.<

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but here it is anyway ^.^

It depends entirely on the circumstances. My ranger almost always carries a condition, which is generally Apply Poison. That is because I am usually the only ranger in the group (or the only human one). Poison is one of the conditions that few other classes use (I think necs use it too). What I'm trying to say is that it is good added dps for a hench or 1 ranger party.

If 2 rangers were to both carry apply poison, then you could say that the skill slot is wasted on one of them, which is where Melandru's comes in. Since it stacks with poison it is a handy and effective added dps.

On a side note about the energy costs, my ranger is mainly used for interrupts, hence I dont use skills which are over costly too frequently hence 15 energy (- whatever expertise) isn't too bad a burden. If I was to run a more agressive +dmg build I'd likely go for a prep other than Melandru's.

well if you want to run a bit of a Degen build you want both Poison and Bleeding in there, the duration of poison on Poison Arrow is HUGE...no really it's stupidly HUGE, so lure your enemy and hit it with Hunter's First of all and then nail it with Poison whenever.

Personally, I prefer Poison Arrow if I'm doing degen. It's just much more versatile, in my opinion. And you can combine it with Read the Wind.

I tend to prefer poison arrow too, but if I've used my elite somewhere else, I bring apply poison. Melandru's arrows is pretty bad and a waste of an elite IMO.
